The interior of an apartment in an apartment building

The central social space of a smaller apartment is the kitchen, particularly the kitchen table. It is slightly raised (to the height of older tables, i.e. with the necessary center stretcher), equipped at the same time with a stove by the window and seating in the remaining part of the table (chairs are missing in the photos, the owners brought their old chairs later). The hall from the kitchen to the hall is newly shaped. Part of it is furnished as a library (which is functionally possible, thanks to the existence of the original spacious wardrobe). The enlarged view between the living room kitchen and the library extends the social part of the apartment beyond the original kitchen.

The rooms facing the street leading to the terrace were connected to each other by new doors. The bedroom is thus directly connected to the study, the future kid’s bedroom, this is a forward-looking arrangement. The layout of the rooms underwent only slight changes in the design. However, even the service rooms were modified with regard to the overall atmosphere and harmony of the material tone of the apartment.
